editBoe has never won a tony award, i am removing it from the page, the source is evidently misinformed —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.108.21.176 (talk) 16:10, 18 July 2009 (UTC)
Mr. Boe and the principals in La Boheme won a Tony Honors for Excellence award in 2003. These non-competitive awards were set up in 1990 by the American Theatre Wing and "are presented to institutions, individuals and/or organizations that have demonstrated extraordinary achievement in theatre, but are not eligible to compete in any of the established Tony Award categories." incorrect info
editArticle references Boe's "father's" records as an inspiration. Link is to Richard Tauber, who died in 1948. Alfie Boe was born in 1973. Neat trick, that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by TomWilliams1993 (talk • contribs) 02:32, 13 June 2011 (UTC)
I believe the writer was trying to say that Alfie Boe's father owned recordings by Richard Tauber. Alfie listened to them as a young boy. 74.71.27.210 (talk) 03:25, 24 October 2011 (UTC)Barbara Bell
Personal life
editThe personal life section sticks out as being inserted by a passing editor. Names are misspelled, the information is sketchy ("to start a show"), no links. Needs work.◦◦derekbd◦◦my talk◦◦ 13:48, 4 October 2011 (UTC)
http://www.ksl.com/?sid=22512923&nid=1016&title=alfie-boe-tom-brokaw-to-join-mormon-tabernacle-choir-in-christmas-concerts has some more info, including wife being a native of Salt Lake City and has a house in the city. Samuelsenwd (talk) 18:58, 11 October 2012 (UTC)
typo
editThe word "talking" is used instead of "taking" in the first paragraph: "... Boe talking on the role...".
