Duvaucel's connection with Hodgson
editHi Shyamal: this is an interesting piece of info that you found there. But how come you attribute this note to Blyth? -- BhagyaMani (talk) 09:39, 24 December 2014 (UTC)
- User:BhagyaMani - thanks for getting me to re-examine the dates and details. You are right, the editor then would probably have been James Prinsep but I will make the changes. Blyth became natural history editor for the Journal of the Asiatic Society of Bengal at a later date. Shyamal (talk) 09:51, 24 December 2014 (UTC)
Prinsep was indeeed editor of this issue -- see page n8. He surely wrote all the "anonymous" articles, since other authors are indicated accordingly in the resp. titles of the contributions. -- BhagyaMani (talk) 10:28, 24 December 2014 (UTC)
- Considering that the footnote alone is marked with "[Ed.]", it may not be safe to assume that the "anonymous" articles are by Prinsep. Shyamal (talk) 11:16, 26 December 2014 (UTC)
