Foundational Sources and Possible Expansions
editThis page needs lots of work. I got it started, but it's incredibly messy, and I assembled what was here from a tiny bit of info on the Nikolai Medtner article, but mostly from the autobiographies of his brother, Dr. Herbert Swann, and his nephew, the composer Donald Swann. Honestly, it's kind of awful, but it's a start.
Other sources I've found, and hope to incorporate in the near future, include the following: an article describing his life by Dr. Marina V Ledkowsky: http://www.roca.org/OA/165/165e.htm; an article written about his second wife, Jane Swan: http://articles.philly.com/2010-10-26/news/24952699_1_art-history-russian-children-music-history; and the Grove Music Online article for Alfred J.
