There is no reference to Tucker's autobiographical memoir "Eighteen years in Uganda & East Africa" (London. Edwin Arnold. 1908, two volumes. The second volume may have a later date - I have not seen it) in the bibliography. My reading of this work is that he saw the promotion of British interests as almost as important as promoting the Kingdom of God (perhaps this was a necessary concomitant of being a specifically Anglican missionary).
