editWhen the EB 1911 material at Alice Christiana Meynell is merged here, the title an ordinary Wikipedia reader will enter is Alice Meynell. Her full name, bolded, should appear in the opening line.--Wetman 5 July 2005 04:07 (UTC)

HELP. The work: Poems (1893)
editWas this her work. Or was she the editor and producer for this work Francis Thompson it seems highly unlikely that both Thompson and her came out with the same work title in the very same year. WikiDon 5 July 2005 05:05 (UTC)
Date of Birth?
editNo reference is given for her birth date, which was formely given as 22 September. In Badeni[1] her birth date is given as 11 October, and in a Tablet article of 11 October 1947 it is stated that she would be "exactly 100 years old"[2]. The DOB is given as 11 October in several other books, and the centenary tribute also gives this date in 1947 as the centenary of her birth[3]. On the other hand, in "Varieties of Fervour" she is stated to have been born at 8, Castlenau Villas on 22nd September[4] 14-8-15 I realise this is original research, but I've now obtained a copy of her birth certificate, and this confirms that she was indeed born on 11th October 1847.

Children including Everard Meynell
editI revised wording and linkage of the paragraph on eight children. One of the six without a Wikipedia biography, but he is Author:Everard_Meynell at Wikisource (and thus lives also at Wikidata[1]). There may be an approved in-line linkage for such people, but I don't know it. I inserted his lifespan in the children paragraph, and appended External link for him at LC Authorities and thus LC Online Catalog.
Everard Meynell is at Wikisource merely as the author of two entries in Dictionary of National Biography. LC Online Catalog has 4 records of 3 biographies, I guess from their titles: Corot and His Friends ; The Life of Francis Thompson (his mother's friend and protege?) ; Giovanni Bellini.
WorldCat libraries report more titles, as usual, including a 2015 publication of that Francis Thompson biography.
