It was previously proposed to merged this page with that of Alkali Silica Reaction. I agree that the main page should be this later one.
However, it is probably worth the discuss the difference between the Alkali-aggregate reaction (a general and vague term) and the Alkali Silica Reaction (a more precise definition). So, to guide and to reorient the reader, I have taken the freedom to delete the merge tag and to replace it by a disambiguation tag.

Extent of reaction?!?!
editConsidering the fundamental role concrete plays in our civilisation, could an expert please quantify the significance and prevalence of this reaction? Does it only affect 5% of concrete?
