Can someone put up a kcal/mol picture of the butane potential conformers? When I learned Organic Chemistry which was fairly recently, all energy measurements were put in kcal not kJ.
I've only seen kcal used in one textbook occasionally, and that was a statistical thermodynamics text for chemists/biologists. As a Canadian, I'm not sure how prevalent non-metric energy measurements are in the States, but certainly their use shouldn't be encouraged. 205.206.122.250 16:55, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
Why does 'Rotamers' redirect here when the page makes not a single reference to the word? At least the Conformational Isomerism page defines a rotamer.
