Who is Polunsky?
editWho was this unit named after? -- Ϫ 23:28, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
- I do not know who it is. I'll check a TDCJ guidebook on Google Books and see if I can find out. WhisperToMe (talk) 11:45, 9 May 2010 (UTC)

Polunsky Sign
editThis Bing map shows where the "Polunsky" sign is located. To take a photo of the prison, stand on the other side of the road, outside of the institution grounds. Use a telephoto lens to get your photo. Do not enter the institution. Make sure the sign is readable and included in the shot. WhisperToMe (talk) 05:12, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
- Okay, the photo request was fulfilled. WhisperToMe (talk) 16:34, 8 October 2010 (UTC)

Remove Boobie?
editUnless someone cares to run a deeper check, I cannot find any public information stating that Boobie was at Polunsky. I'm not necessarily saying he wasn't, but I can't find anything to verify it. I did some digging through case records, but judgments and sentencing records in Texas generally do not say which prison an inmate is sent to as that is not under the court's jurisdiction.
Aside from that, his incarceration is not notable for this article, IMHO, in comparison to so many other Polunsky inmates who are notable and not listed in the article. Boobie served five years after violating probation in 2013 (did not comply with the conditions of probation) and was released in 2018. His original sentence was ten years of deferred probation and Boobie did not go to prison after sentencing; he went after he violated probation. All in all, I'm not sure if this is considered notable. (Side note: I'm sorry if I sound like a complete jerk here to the victim, if he happens to read this. I'm sure it's notable to Boobie, the victim, and their families.)
Also, it might not hurt to rework the layout of the sections with the inmate listings. For example, the Huntsville Unit article has a clear, interactive grid format. Coffeesweet (talk) 18:18, 30 April 2019 (UTC)
John William King
editThere are two mentions of this name in the "Executed" list - identical wording but different numbers for the reference. I'm not altering this as there might be a reason for it. Sarandone2 (talk) 11:58, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
Location of unit
editDirections to unit. I seem to remember where it was written 5 miles east of Livingston. I was trying to find it on the map and that it appears to be west of Livingston. 2600:6C56:6700:67EF:2992:41B:65FC:400F (talk) 08:20, 28 October 2022 (UTC)
