editI beleive there are at least two topics being conflated here: A) simple allele frequency in a population , (which may involve one or few genes among multiple individuals) and B) the chromosomal signature of cancer cells (which may involve multiple alleles and chromosomal aberrations within an individual or cell). If the topic can be expanded beyond a stub and/or simple dictionary definition, all the better, otherwise a potential merge to, say genotyping other similar article might be appropriate.--Animalparty-- (talk) 19:24, 27 June 2014 (UTC)
