Expanding, Please do not delete
editI just created this article and will be expanding and improving it over the course of the next day. Please do not delete it.Larrytheordinarydragon (talk) 15:15, 25 March 2011 (UTC)
Straying from the topic
editI've deleted or collapsed sections that do not concern the group that is the subject of this article. (Disclaimer: I am employed by Amazon.com, but my edits do not represent the opinions of the management of my employer.) White 720 (talk) 02:01, 29 April 2011 (UTC)
The Wikipedia PR machine
editSo now it seems that Wikipedia is in the business of providing free PR for the Main Street Fairness Alliance. This entry reads like it was written by the head of that particular organization. You know, I have a distinct feeling that multiple studies have been done rebutting the claims of the Alliance, but not one word appears in this entry. Instead we are given verbatim critiques of why a particular state is not doing what the Alliance feels it should. This entry is a biased joke. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.141.154.101 (talk) 03:05, 11 June 2011 (UTC)
Main Street Fairness Act
editDespite the name similarities between the Alliance for Main Street Fairness, the text of the Main Street Fairness Act doesn't mention the Alliance at all. I've removed sections about the Main Street Fairness Act which don't specifically mention the organization. Please add another article to discuss the act as distinct from this lobbying group that is not directly related to it. White 720 (talk) 22:47, 24 October 2011 (UTC)
NPOV and "not enough views" tagging
editI've just added a NPOV tag and a "not enough views" tag to this article. Other than the lede, the entirety of the text seems to be focused on a list of successful conquests the MSF campaign has made; rather than discussing the campaign, it simply talks about the laws being passed here, there, and that other place, insinuating that the passages were due to the PR campaign. There is no discussion of reactions to the campaign, or why each state's action or inaction has anything to do with the campaign. In my opinion, the article is in need of a complete, neutral re-write to make it an actual article about its purported topic. A fluffernutter is a sandwich! (talk) 18:59, 29 September 2014 (UTC)
- I am trying to add some objective information on the group that neither side would object to.Iliketoeatpotatoesalot (talk) 17:18, 6 December 2014 (UTC)
- I rewrote the introduction to be more fair. I noticed that the source cited was being distorted and that there was some editorial language. Iliketoeatpotatoesalot (talk) 17:29, 6 December 2014 (UTC)

Appears to be defunct
editThe AMSF's previous domain standwithmainstreet.com is now taken by a different, apparently unrelated company. The AMSF's YouTube channel hasn't posted any new videos in 5 years. I haven't found a source to back it up, but it appears that the AMSF is no longer operating. White 720 (talk) 16:59, 31 May 2021 (UTC)
