Same species as Aloe saponaria?
edit Resolved

After writing up A. saponaria, I realized that some authorities believe A. maculata is the older name for A. saponaria, but it appears that (at least in North America) A. saponaria is the generally accepted name -- see, for example, Aloe saponaria at "Aloes of the Huntington Gardens".
If there's an aloe expert in the audience, perhaps he/she could provide some help on the proper name, and whether the two articles should be merged. Aloe maculata is just a stub at this point. FWIW, Commons treats A. maculata as the senior name -- see Commons:Category:Aloe maculata. Thanks, Pete Tillman (talk) 21:12, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
