Request to keep

This is a note to the editors who would like to delete this page.

I was under the impression that if I said the page was under construction, I would be given some more time to flesh out the article. I realize at this point, the details are a little sparse, but it's going to take some time for me to complete the page. The records that I will be citing are also old records from city hall and various historical societies.

I'm relatively new to the wikipedia scene.


Please don't delete this page, fragmentary though it is. Medical school fraternities were once very important in the life of medical students nationwide, though only scattered chapters still survive in 2009. My father belonged to the Alpha Kappa chapter at Washington University School of Medicine (St. Louis MO), graduating in 1932. When I went to the same school (class of 1964) AKK was long defunct, and I belonged to Phi Beta Pi, also now defunct, which has no Wikipedia article, and I certainly don't know enough to write one. - I do think that medical school fraternities have notability - it's just that their history is largely forgotten - but if anybody can resurrect their history, Wikipedia can.
