Research
editThere is scant information on Google about this medical fraternity, formed in 1908. It is likely to have been one of the early Jewish groups, soon coalescing into the larger Phi Delta Epsilon. That later fraternity mentions their merger, apparently bringing several Midwest chapters along with it, in 1918. However, my cursory search didn't find more information about it.
There is naming confusion because two other groups use the name Alpha Phi Sigma. One is a criminal justice honor society of the same name, founded in 1942 at Washington State University, another is a scholarship recognition society called Alpha Phi Sigma founded in 1930 at Truman State University.
