Incidentally, are there etexts available of this book? A quick serch through the Gutenberg Library didn't net me any results. It seems like it would be old enough to be outside of copyright. -Fuzzy 15:55, 28 September 2005 (UTC)Reply

The author died in 1943, so it's still copyrighted. Chl 01:31, 12 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
To top it off, copies are rare. About two years ago I went looking for one, and wound up having to do an inter-library loan from a university in Kansas. The book was an original print with illustrations, very beautiful but very worn and fragile. It's a good story, and I can't wait for it to enter the public domain, but be advised that you can't find it in just any bookshop.--72.204.6.74 (talk) 14:36, 27 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
Given that 1943 is well over 70 years ago now, It is in public domain according to US law. (Confirmation: https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q2302824) Thought i'd update this thread.
A search of the gutenberg library now yields a compilation book released in 2008 where it is called 'the Alraun': https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/27499 128.240.225.5 (talk) 19:27, 13 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

I just wanted to note that the Alraune is a monster in Pathfinder Roleplaying Game. Here is a link to its description on the archives of nethys: https://www.aonprd.com/MonsterDisplay.aspx?ItemName=Alraune 128.240.225.5 (talk) 19:21, 13 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
