- This is a musrepresentation of the Act. There were variable rate mortgages well before 1982. . --Dlawbailey (talk) 08:32, 25 April 2009 (UTC)
- It is not a misrepresentation. Adjustable rate mortgages existed before 1982, but some states did not allow them. This bill over rode the states that only allowed fixed rates.--FrankieG123 (talk) 15:32, 19 November 2010 (UTC)
