Failed history
editWhere would "failed history" be placed - eg commemorative objects made for the coronation of Edward VIII and the "Dewey beats Truman" headline? There are a number of other items which could be included in this heading.

editIs this an article or a disambig? There's some good info in here but readers would be better served by either making this into a real article, or moving that info to more relevant pages and making this into a real disambig Ewlyahoocom 06:53, 5 February 2006 (UTC)
Evidence
editIt's possible that we are often taught history without any real evidence to support what we are being taught. Maybe we are as much trained to accept what we are being told as the contents of what we are being taught?
On "good authority" someone once said the world was flat, etc. People often choose the history that serves them in the present. They often lack evidence. We should always look for evidence to support any point of view, historical or otherwise. "Good authority" often isn't.
