already existed?
editHasn't Amasia already existed in the past? During the last ice age, there was a land bridge connecting Alaska and Asia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.105.206.89 (talk • contribs) 01:10, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
- No, that was just a landbridge not a supercontinent--Jakezing (talk) 04:27, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
- The landbridge was made of continential crust like North America and Asia, not ice. And if continential crust connected North American and Asia they were most likely merged. In fact, they are still connected by continential shelves. Black Tusk (talk) 23:30, 29 October 2008 (UTC)
Image.
editNot a "map" (as per the map request though this may be the spirit of it's meaning) but could anyone with the scientific knowledge and the computer image making ability draw up a free image of what this would look like for this page, as well as for the other theoretical super continents? (Pangaea Ultima) under the scenarios that would create them? 4.255.49.191 (talk) 03:59, 7 July 2009 (UTC)

– Both of these are on similar topics (namely, possible future supercontinents), so the disambiguation should be consistent. This means that either of the two moves (but not both) should be done. Please state which parenthetical disambiguation you prefer (thus supporting one move and opposing the other). GeoffreyT2000 (talk) 14:18, 3 September 2023 (UTC)
- I prefer: Amasia (continent) → Amasia (supercontinent). GeoWriter (talk) 15:37, 4 September 2023 (UTC)
- Prefer "supercontinent" as the disambiguator, for these recreations of pangea -- 67.70.25.175 (talk) 06:03, 5 September 2023 (UTC)
- Supercontinent is the better option here, from a willson cycle perspective. --Licks-rocks (talk) 09:24, 13 September 2023 (UTC)
- The former (Amasia) should be done. 🪐Kepler-1229b | talk | contribs🪐 23:32, 5 September 2023 (UTC)
