This article has been proposed for deletion on the grounds that "Very little is known about his life is sadly an indication that he isn't notable. A BEFORE shows no sourcing and there is no obvious merger target". I don't think a paucity of firm biographical information necessarily makes an article about a person and their works inappropriate. I have inlined the citation of the Grove article about the subject, which does also mention various articles at least touching on the subject and his work. Google Books shows snippet views of various works, including "Jahrbuch der Musikbibliothek Peters" (1929 & 1965), a "Geschichte der evangelischen Kirchenmusik" (1965), and slightly more biographical detail in a "Barock-Musik" (1981). @AllyD:, it's not that it's inappropriate, but rather there isn't enough information from which to build an article beyond saying the man lived and maybe? made a notable piece of work. I can't access the Grove piece, is that a reliable source? MUsic isn't much my world. StarM13:06, 7 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
