Merger proposal
editIf the family really does have only one genus, then the two pages should be merged, as per standard practice. On the other hand, if a second genus is to be added to the family (by incorporating Dicamptodontidae) then the pages should be kept separate, and some information should be added here on the unifying features of the two genera and general characteristics of the family. And, of course, we'd need to change the text at the Dicamptontidae page.
We need to do one or the other of these things, or the pages contradict each other. So any suggestions as to which it should be? Anaxial (talk) 07:47, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
Definitely merge. There is no difference between the two. I would rename the page Mole Salamander (Ambystomatidae). Thompsma (talk) 04:21, 6 January 2009 (UTC)
