editI thought I should ID myself: I am Jennifer Doyle. I worked with Jones at UC Riverside, and have collaborated with her for nearly 15 years. Am following the stories coming out of USC's Roski School of the Arts, where Jones is Vice-Dean. Someone is committing small acts of vandalism to this page: adding the word "neoconservative," for example, as one of Jones's fields, and removing a reference to Queer Theory as one of her fields of expertise. (Jones is not an expert in neoconservative, and neocons would describe her as "liberal"; she is one of few art historians to write about sexuality at all—she is currently editing and writing a book centered on queer feminism and contemporary art.)
This is, in a way, small stuff, but it is also not small stuff. I'm watching her page as a colleague and as a Wikipedia editor (I haven't been very active in the past few years; most of my editing has been on art historical subjects). Trying to adhere to community standards — I edited a reference to student protest, leaving the basic story stand — even though the students' manifesto doesn't name Jones as a part of the problem, but she is in an administrative position and it is a news story— I edited that original contribution to try to balance out the not-knowing-Jones's role with the fact that this conflict exists. I am, however, removing things that are wrong. ˜˜˜˜ — Preceding unsigned comment added by Judyholliday (talk • contribs) 17:28, 19 June 2015 (UTC)
