This page was getting so long, I see that some were not bothering to scroll to the bottom, but adding new content at the top. Added automatic archiving. WriterArtistDC (talk) 13:00, 30 August 2023 (UTC)

NY Times article today
Not having time to use this source soon, I note it here for others:
- Levitt, Zach; Parshina-Kottas, Yuliya; Romero, Simon; Wallace, Tim (2023-08-30). "'War Against the Children'". The New York Times. ISSN 0362-4331. Retrieved 2023-08-30.
The Native American boarding school system — a decades-long effort to assimilate Indigenous people before they ever reached adulthood — robbed children of their culture, family bonds and sometimes their lives.
I have a subscription, don't know how strict the Times currently is on requiring payment. WriterArtistDC (talk) 13:14, 30 August 2023 (UTC)
List of schools
A separate list article was created, but the list here not removed, defeating the purpose of reducing the size of this article. The list article has not been maintained, containing 145 entries while the list here contains 160. The two lists should be reconciled, and the content here removed except for the link to the list article and a brief description. Retaining the format of the other list, by state, seems like a good idea. WriterArtistDC (talk) 13:31, 30 August 2023 (UTC)
- The Times article states there are 519 known schools. Certainly needs its own article. WriterArtistDC (talk) 13:39, 30 August 2023 (UTC)
