editHi SP-KP. You've lost me. How is this article not a neutral point of view? I'm happy to remove the word 'beautiful' if you like, but the article is a work in progress. I'm going to American River in April to take some photos and collect more information. Dally Horton 03:34, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
Wetland Lagoon
editI would have thought Pelican Lagoon Conservation Park would be a more appropriate heading. I've not seen any other source that identifies the area as the American River Wetland System, in fact I've never heard of this description. Wiki's own defintion of Wetland states, interalia, 'soil that is saturated with moisture, such as swamps, marshes, bogs or similar'. Clearly, Pelican Lagoon is a shallow inlet of the sea, and does not fall within the above classification.Browning ave (talk) 02:18, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
- Have retitled as Pelican Lagoon, and stated that the area defined in the Heritage database incorporates Pelican Lagoon. Murtoa (talk) 12:48, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
Removal of section entitled "Pelican Lagoon"
editThe section entitled "Pelican Lagoon" has been removed because there is now a separate article about Pelican Lagoon and because it is obviously "off-topic", i.e. this article is about a 'town' while Pelican Lagoon is a bay located outside of the boundries of the town.
