editThis page was just (May 11) edited to provide more information regarding ASPET. However, I have yet to provide addional sources; I will try to do that soon. Bandresen (talk) 21:05, 11 May 2010 (UTC)
I also don't understand why there is a question of neutrality. All of the content in the article so far is non-controversial, objective fact and not advocacy or value judgment. Maybaum (talk) 13:59, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
It is not clear to me how to resolve the "conflict of interest" problem. Do I need to wait until someone outside of ASPET decides to edit the article? Maybaum (talk) 11:29, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
I have added a reference to ASPET as a member organization of FASEB, and also added a listing of ASPET publications. I am not sure if this is sufficient to satisfy "notability". Maybaum (talk) 19:19, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
I am inexperienced at creating Wiki pages, and am probably not following best practices. However, it is my intention to soon provide basic content for this page, describing my professional society. Maybaum (talk) 19:19, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
Trials
editI am systamatically altering the ASPET Wiki page to determine what is casuing the posts to indicate that the site is not nutral or that the author has to close of a relation to the subject. I do not see these on the ASBMB or APS pages. The ASBMB page is very simple, whereas the APS page is extensive. I do not see what the fundemental difference between these pages are that results in the two flags. If there is a more seasonded Wiki editor that is reading this, please share your advice.
25 May 2010 - I have mimiced the ASBMB page with more detailed information about ASPET and its founding. This is all objective information available in books (see refrerences) or their website. I believe this should not be flagged.

- Thanks for your efforts in rewriting this information, Bandresen. I have made a few further edits in the direction of a neutral tone and the article now seems fine to me. If you have any queries about what is appropriate to include in an article on a learned society, then the best place to ask is Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Academic Journals, as this project also covers learned societies.
