Year or no?
editI don't see any sources referring to this by a year, and know of no previous notable coups in the region, so would (and briefly did) omit "2019" per WP:NOYEAR. Beyond the uncommonness in sources, it's long. Just four numerals, but also four extra syllables if spoken internally while read. Aye? Nay? InedibleHulk (talk) 23:12, 23 June 2019 (UTC)
- I say "AYE". Years are usually uncommon in sources. There were previous attempts to seize power in the region in 1993, I believe, and an notable article could be written about that.--Varavour (talk) 23:52, 23 June 2019 (UTC)
- Fair point, if true. InedibleHulk (talk) 00:23, 24 June 2019 (UTC)
- I can't seem to Google it, but I used this newfangled Google that shows results in bubbles and highlights nothing. Could've easily missed it. Are you by chance conflating Ethiopian insurrection with Eritrean independence? InedibleHulk (talk) 03:13, 25 June 2019 (UTC)
Confused about names of the sides
editIn the lead it says "factions of the security forces" are up against "the regional government", then it says "nationalist factions" assassinated two generals. I'm assuming the "nationalist factions" are the same as "factions of the security forces" but the change in wording can be confusing. Merlinsorca 14:40, 24 June 2019 (UTC)
