POV and Timeliness Edit
editI removed "more than a year ago, and it has culminated in Loreena's finest work since the Book of Secrets."
for three reasons:
- "more than a year ago" is too time-referenced. Changed that to "in 2005."
- Use of the first name is not really encyclopedic in tone
and most importantly
- "finest work since The Book of Secrets is a highly POV statement.

Just to provide some cultural data...An ancient muse is the first studio album since the book of secrets, hence by logic...it would be considered the finest studio album since then...just because it is the only one since then! It might sound POV, but if you analyze it and move away from bias and think outside the box you might come to realize it is not POV... that is all. Regarding Loreena well, it might sound informal but you must know that 1, McKennitt is overused in this article and 2, that McKennitt herself is referred to as Loreena by almost everyone she knows and that is why I decided to write Loreena instead of her last name. It is not like writing Ludwig in a Beethoven article, it is very different. Kiske 18:57, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
Caravanserei
editThe song (soundfile) has the same introducing melody as "Sacral Nirvana" (soundfile) on the album "Tai Chi Too" (1996) by Oliver Shanti. This could hardly be a coincidence. I don't know, if Loreena McKennitt copied the Shanti tune or if there was an older source. Hybscher (talk) 22:42, 12 March 2010 (UTC) -- Update. Hybscher (talk) 12:11, 26 February 2011 (UTC)
