North American city links
editIn tour articles on Wikipedia, North American city links are expressed as either Buffalo or Buffalo, New York and not as Buffalo, NY because the postal codes are not well known outside of North America and they go against MOS:POSTABBR. If readers need "instant clarification" instead of clicking on the links provided, then the appropriate links to use are the city, state links. As such, I have made these changes to the table. If you disagree, plus explain here so a consensus can be reached instead of reverting. Aspects (talk) 04:45, 29 October 2016 (UTC)
Supergroup?
editIs ARW really a supergroup? By the WP definition, they are not. The definition clearly states such a group is comprised of members from separate previously successful groups. This does not seem to apply to the members of ARW. I believe that ARW is very plainly a spinoff group of Yes but is not a supergroup. An example of a supergroup would be Asia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.64.207.75 (talk) 17:41, 4 December 2016 (UTC)
- Actually a supergroup is either what you describe or a group with enormous international success, like Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Muse, The Who which are relatively few in number. However, for fans of ARW/Yes it seems wholly unsatisfactory to refer to ARW as a "spin-off", just as it seems equally unsatisfactory to refer to the earlier group, ABWH as a "spin-off" group. The term "supergroup" may be better here as Rabin and Wakeman have never been properly part of a band together before ARW. They performed together on the Yes tour of 1991-92 but their album was recorded as 2 bands, Yes and ABWH who simply joined together to tour. This band is much more of a single unit consisting of ex-Yes members of very different periods. Dyolf87 (talk) 11:54, 5 December 2016 (UTC)
- What terminology do reliable sources use about the band? Bondegezou (talk) 08:08, 6 December 2016 (UTC)
