Controversy

edit

Absent a genetic test, there is no controversy or contest surrounding Olav's biological father. One biographer speculated that Maud may have been impregnated by someone other than Haakon VII (then Karl), but there is nothing to substantiate it; and nobody has contested Olav's paternity. Nobody has any plans to ascertain the biological connection, so the issue is dead for the time being. --Leifern 19:47, 3 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Apparently, the desire of some people to bury that specific controversy is the sufficient reason for them to come and edit here in Wikipedia away all mentions of the controversy/uncertainty. I cannot regard that as NPOV. The doubt should be mentioned. ObRoy 20:13, 3 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
I agree it should be mentioned, but we need to be precise here. Perhaps a simple note should be made next to Olav making reference to the speculation. --Leifern 02:54, 4 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
