Molterer with 6.2 seconds behind Sailer on January 29th, 1956 - Olympic Giant Slalom
editAnderl was second being 6.2 seconds behind Toni Sailer - the 8th, Sepp Behr had a margin of 11.3 seconds!
It was told that Anderl wasn't able to show his ability always; he was faster than they others when he was a fore-runner but he became nervous when it was neck or nothing.
- In regard to the margin of 6.2 seconds, please see talk about Toni Sailer. Thank you. 213.225.32.132 (talk) 16:40, 30 December 2016 (UTC)
- I don't know about that Molterer fell down in the Giant Slalom and I couldn't find an information in a report of the race in an Austrian newspaper. But it is archived that Anderl didn't finish the Special Slalom on January 31st; he did collapse (give out).
