editThis article is written in an unencyclopedic nature. It is written as though it were written by a tourist office of the Moroccan government. Can anyone make this more encyclodic?Dogru144 (talk) 23:51, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
- Indeed. It appears to be based on one article, itself unsourced, which should jnot be difficult to trace. However the whole text needs to be wikified into sections.Nishidani (talk) 11:19, 29 October 2008 (UTC)
According to this article, Azoulay is a Berber name in origin. The Wikipedia entry on Azoulay states that the name is in fact Spanish. The book referenced in this article appears to be one (perhaps controversial) minority opinion. Perhaps this page should only state that Azoulay is a common Sephardic Jewish surname and link to the Wikipedia entry for Azoulay. Any argument surrounding the surname could be documented there. Forgive me if I am posting in the wrong forum or format -- I am a newcomer to editing Wikipedia.Saladstorm (talk) 02:42, 11 January 2012 (UTC)
- I updated the article to point to the Wikipedia entry on Azoulay. Saladstorm (talk) 19:47, 2 February 2012 (UTC)
Please note that Azoulay has recently stated in an interview that he is infact an Arab Jew. I will add the reference interview shortly. I've also taken the liberty to make the change in this article. Thank you. CommanderKnight (talk) 03:03, 10 October 2017 (UTC)
Here's one of many links where he specifically states pride in his Arab heritage.

editThis article seems to be almost entirely based on one source and, as stated previously, reads more like promotional material than encyclopaedic writing. Moreover, it contains a lot of information/commentary unrelated to Azoulay himself. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Baronofthebean (talk • contribs) 03:03, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
