Notability

As well as the PROD deletion in February 2016, subsequent draft article versions on this subject were rejected multiple times at AfC, before the creation of this new instance. Reliable 3rd party evidence is needed to demonstrate notability. AllyD (talk) 20:49, 29 July 2024 (UTC)

All the linked Wikipedia articles in this article list Andreas Waldetoft as the composer or one of the composers. There are third parties citing him as well, such as

@SharkMa-san Please stop restoring the previous version, an Afd has occurred regarding this version and has been closed for a redirection, if you have nothing new there is no point in restoring this version, if you find reliable references do not hesitate to add them and for information, databases like IMDb or music sites like Spotify or Deezer are not reliable references. All the games listed on the article that we've been undoing back and forth, the Wikipedia pages credit him as the composer. You can credit someone on an article easily but having an article about them is extremely hard. SharkMa-san (talk) 00:20, 22 September 2024 (UTC)

I think this is a bit silly. You can credit someone on several pages but to create a page about them you need definite proof about them with some requirements. SharkMa-san (talk) 00:37, 22 September 2024 (UTC)

A person must be notable enough to have their own article on Wikipedia, being credited is not enough, the person concerned must attract attention and be found in reliable sources, there is a big difference between citing the name of a person in an article and creating your own article for them. I think a composer that has done music for the listed games on the article I tried to get published is enough for notability. Finding sources about it that excludes commercial avenues (which would definitely prove it) is not going to be easy. SharkMa-san (talk) 01:23, 22 September 2024 (UTC)

Okay, in this case just avoid persisting in creating an article without additional relevant elements because it could be like spam and promotion. • @Lertaheiko: you have reinstated what is effectively the former article, listing the work by the subject when employed at Paradox, and negated the consensus outcome of the August 2024 AfD. Please see above. You had begun a Draft version; if you feel there is strong enough evidence of notability to set aside the AfD decision, developing that Draft and then going to AfC seems the best approach.
