Identity
editI deleted External link "Helflinreps, Inc. - Andrew's US agent", who added the link in 2008 but now lists no Davidson at helflinreps Illustrators.
I added Ext links for our man in two databases.
- Andrew Davidson (Artist) at the Internet Speculative Fiction Database
- Andrew Davidson at Library of Congress Authorities — with 1 catalogue record
(The latter is our source for full name Andrew Timothy Davidson and birthdate 1958-10-08, citing the British Library iiuc.)
- Now 1958-05-13; yes, citing the British Library (BL). --2017
This stub originated as little but {{infobox book}} for the first edition of The Iron Man. [1] That was inappropriate here, showing the original George Adamson cover; naming Davidson incorrectly. ISFDB names 4 cover artists and shows 6 or 7 cover images including three of the four --Adamson/first ed., Davidson/1985/Maschler Award, and Gary Kelley/30th Anniversary ed.
- Andrew Davidson, known for woodcuts and engravings.
Here are three or four hits for him.
- homepage Andrew Davidson, Royal College of Art 1982 [2] Done --2017
- at agent(?) Steph Alexander [3]
- at agency(?) The Artworks in London [4] Done --2017
Clearly the same artist, Andrew Davidson's hand engraved Harry Potter covers.
I suppose this our man. Is it?
