My school district is trying to incorporate the use of Wikipedia in the classroom. I am starting this page for a 5th grade classroom. The students will increase their technology skills, along with a better understanding of social studies. This is the first attempt to embed into our curriculum, "Wikipedia". Hopefully it will teach the students about Wikipedia and provide them a real world application for our technolgy course. This should create excitement and enthusiasm in learning about our community and expose them to the one of the technologies they will need in the "Flat World."

If you return to this article and see this, I wanted to let you know about our project Wikipedia:WikiProject Wikipedia Saves Public Art which aims to do precisely what you did with your students and technology class. Our aim is to make our WikiProject Page a resource for students and teachers to easily contribute to and create articles about public art. Please let me know if you're interested.
