"Stating president"???
editThe "The Anduin Debate" section includes the following nonsensical sentence: "Several newspapers ran stories when the submission was denied by the New Zealand Geographic Board stating president on a Radio New Zealand interview." Should that be "stating precedent", perhaps? Captain Chaos (talk) 23:03, 29 October 2009 (UTC)
- Due to the lack of response I just deleted the nonsensical fragment. Feel free to add it back in a grammatically correct way if you know what they were trying to say! Captain Chaos (talk) 16:25, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
Anduin Reach and NationStates
editI've taken the liberty of editing the section on the Anduin Reach naming debate in New Zealand. Although I don't know anything about the debate myself, I was a little concerned about the final statement that explained that the debate was remarkable in that it effected (sp?) 'compromise' on the issue, but it didn't really clarify what the mentioned compromise was. I also tidied that section for clarity.
I've also Been Bold and removed the section on the NationStates browser game, and the fact that one player named his/her NationState after the Anduin. I personally have named many computer-game characters, ships and cities after a range of different fiction sources, and I'd expect the same could be said of countless other players. Unless there's anything particularly notable about this one particular NationStates player, I don't think this information adds to the article. - Silvensis (talk) 11:43, 16 May 2011 (UTC)
