I tagged this as 'Original Research' although I suspect that it is simply copying the editorial voice of the source material ( Chisholm, Hugh, ed. (1911). Encyclopædia Britannica (11th ed.).) It may just need a re-write to more factually stated, and rely on the referred material to support. For example: "The occasional attribution of some of his numerous compositions to his elder brother is a pardonable mistake, if we may judge by the works that have been reprinted." should be more like: "Some of Giovanni Francesco's works have been mistakenly attributed to his elder brother."

Another consideration: Maybe this page should simply link to the two brothers' individual pages (which are both higher quality and link to each other), serving as disambiguation, and have no actual content. Corrigann (talk) 19:24, 9 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
