ICAC enquiry and media reports
editAs a result of the ICAC investigation, media reports have drawn attention to this Member of Parliament. In turn, this has provided readers additional information about her that was not widely known in the community and enhanced readers' knowledge. This infgormation does not defame the Member of Parliament in any way, but simply reports what is claimed in the media. If the information that is reported in the media is incorrect, then it is appropriate that the offending material be removed. Removing a large swag of information, including references, without discussion does not facilitate free and open debate about matters of contention that define our democracy. - I'd be interested to hear views on the relevance of included some context surrounding the ICAC investigations. That is, they didn't appear out of no-where; but followed the Karyn Paluzzano ICAC investigations where ICAC recommended Paluzzano be charged with misconduct in public office, amoungst other charges. My understanding is that following the Paluzzano findings, ICAC commenced a widespread investigation of other MPs; but I'm not aware of any sources that are verifable. Can anyone help?
