Trouble
editIt's got to be said, this is a poor article. It needs thorough revising. It contains no citations and is almost entirely unreferenced. It blurs the differences between Anglo Catholicism and it subject. It seems unable to separate positive and negative POV and is at times clearly polemical. It makes inaccurate generalisations.
Worst of all, this article provides no useful information to anyone not already versed in the jargon. I have tried to improve it a bit, but it needs so much work! -- SECisek 08:00, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
Reference
editHow please does one provide a reference for events , customs, and organisations of which one had personal knowledge? I refer to the use of the English Missal, the Pilot, the Fellowship of Christ the Eternal Priest? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Frederick jones (talk • contribs)
- One CANNOT do so. Please see Wikipedia:Verifiability#Sources. -- SECisek 07:27, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
Leaves question hanging
editAs written, the article fails to answer the most obvious and fundamental question:
If this group of people accept not only Trent but Vatican I as well, if they hold the same theology as the RC Church, and hold the same theology of the papacy, why are they not simply Roman Catholics?24.164.159.234 15:44, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
- I agree. Henry viii created the Church of England to get rid of control of The Pope. He didn't reject the religion. It follows that the Church of England was still Catholic, but out of Papal control (control of Rome). How can members of the Church of England accept papal control? It's against the original foundation of the church altogether. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.2.129.132 (talk) 13:28, 31 January 2016
