Wheatley Hill Finger-Ring inscription as poetry
editPerhaps the unique wording of the runes:
- [ᚻ]ᚱᛁᚾᚷᛁᚳᚻᚪᛏᛏ[ᚫ]
- [h]ringichatt[æ]
has something to do with alliterative verse: the words may have been chosen so that the two stressed syllables start with the same letter. Are there any references that have commented on this? Chuck Entz (talk) 23:52, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
