Womans Eight

edit

needs major work, whats a 'womens eight' event? --Xiahou 06:41, 12 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

It is a biographical stub. I explained/defined the womens eight. Powerboater (talk) 01:42, 19 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

I removed the following explanation:

  • In rowing, events are named based on the number of rowers, type of boat, and athletes' gender. A women's eight team consists of nine female athletes. Eight athletes row; one athlete, the coxswain, serves as captain and steers the boat. A men's eight team has the same composition of male athletes.

It is interesting, but not relevent to the subject of the page, ie Mickelson herself--TimothyJacobson (talk) 12:23, 5 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
