Birthday
editA photograph included on the "about" page of the official Annabelle Attanasio website shows what appears to be something that young Annabelle wrote about herself. It includes the text "Her birthday is on May 11th, 1992."
With this edit, an anonymous editor who claims to be Annabelle changed the year to 1993, but did not provide a reference. --bp0 (talk) 08:50, 19 November 2015 (UTC)
- I can find no secondary sourcing for a birth year, currently. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 05:51, 14 December 2016 (UTC)
Wayback Machine has the version of the about page with "Her birthday is on May 11th, 1992."
- Archived 10 November 2015 at the Wayback Machine
It does not have an archived copy from December 2015 with "annie was born in los angeles." --bp0 (talk) 17:36, 14 December 2016 (UTC)
- That's primary sourcing for the DOB. It would work except there is a challenge to the accuracy of that DOB, so we shouldn't use that. I'd rather find a secondary source anyway, one that at least mentions an age or something... --IJBall (contribs • talk) 04:32, 15 December 2016 (UTC)
Sure. For the record the challenge is by a person claiming to be Annabelle Attanasio, who said in an edit summary: "This is the ACTUAL Annabelle Attanasio, and my birth date is May 11th, 1993 (NOT 1992). I would be happy to send a copy of my drivers license or birth certificate for further citation if necessary. Thank you." It was around the same time that the about page on her official website was changed, so it very well could have been her, but as I explained to that user, there is no way for us to really know that. --bp0 (talk) 03:43, 18 December 2016 (UTC)
- Under WP:BLPPRIVACY, it's best to simply remove any DOB's that have been challenged on a BLP, regardless of the source that challenge (IOW, it doesn't matter if it comes from the article's subject or not), unless there is strong sourcing available to confirm that DOB. As we don't have that here, it's probably best to just leave it out. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 16:08, 18 December 2016 (UTC)
