editI have a question regarding the solar chimney with this design. How is the warm/hot air from the roof moved to the ground below through convection in the summer? Gr8daysrheer (talk) 14:09, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
The chimney draws air upward, pulling warm air from the collector through the mass. The solar collector can be lower than the roof, even below the first floor such as in a hillside home. See Don Stephens'example on the reference page, called Mica Peak. mbbradford 15:33, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
