Early Life - Notable information needed
editAs it stands, there is no information regarding this celebrity's early life in comparison to Declan Donnelly, their presenting partner. Could it be possible to search out information on this, with careful regard to WP:BLP? GUtt01 (talk) 10:28, 25 March 2018 (UTC)
Drink drive fine
editThe fine of £86,000 is widely reported as "believed to be Britain's biggest ever drink-drive fine": e.g. The Daily Telegraph, BBC, Birmingham Mail, etc. etc. But there is still currently a hidden note in the article saying: "There has been a recent development in this matter, in regards to McPartlin's trial, but no information should be put in until there is full understanding on the situation, including sentencing and further effects on his career. DO NOT INCLUDE MORE ON THIS, until then, and please remember to respect WP:ALIVE". What exactly is this "recent development" and why has it not been reported anywhere? I think most people have "full understanding on the situation." Thanks. Martinevans123 (talk) 21:44, 16 April 2018 (UTC)
- In the absence of any response here, I now intend to remove tbat note, as well as the "sub judice" tag at the top of this Talk page. Thanks. Martinevans123 (talk) 12:16, 17 April 2018 (UTC)
- OK by me - it's not needed now he's been sentenced.--Pawnkingthree (talk) 16:07, 17 April 2018 (UTC)
- Do you think the size of the fine is worthy of inclusion? It's just a percentage of his weekly wage, of course, so strictly speaking it's just like anyone else's and thus not notable. But it is still a fact that's been widely reported. Also his heart-wrenching apology, on the steps of the court? Martinevans123 (talk) 16:12, 17 April 2018 (UTC)
- Yes if it has been widely reported as the biggest ever I certainly think that is a notable fact worthy of inclusion. The fact he issued an apology is less note-worthy I think - it would have been more notable if he hadn't apologised.--Pawnkingthree (talk) 16:20, 17 April 2018 (UTC)
- Ok, no objections. His mother has also been criticized for letting him drive, but she was just his passenger and was not the guilty party, of course. Martinevans123 (talk) 16:23, 17 April 2018 (UTC)

Criminal status
editI think the fact that this man is a criminal should have its own section in the article, rather than being squirreled away in the "personal life" section. Others tend to get a separate section covering this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.189.250.197 (talk • contribs) 10:14, 22 September 2021 (UTC)
- @86.189.250.197 convictions already explained in detail. No need for further information. 2A00:23C6:4B42:F301:3D5D:EDA2:376:C67E (talk) 08:33, 26 May 2023 (UTC)
