Wrong portrait
editThe portrait depicts the father of the person in question. We do have a portrait of himself, as reproduced in "Proceedings of the Huguenot Society of London" 1886, p. 157. He has a much shorter neck and an air of melancholy. A scan of horrible quality is available on the net; doubtless someone with access to a British library can do better. --178.7.44.117 (talk) 10:36, 16 May 2016 (UTC)
PS: This picture may do, middle left: https://babel.hathitrust.org/cgi/pt?id=mdp.39015034314578;view=1up;seq=182;size=200 --178.7.44.117 (talk) 14:15, 16 May 2016 (UTC)
- Hi thanks for hunting it down and for pointing out that the other one was his father. I clarified and moved down the older portrait and I've added the newer one you've found. Like you said the quality isn't the best, but it'll do. Opencooper (talk) 15:19, 16 May 2016 (UTC)
Hello, yes I would also like to add my thanks for the image. My first footnote in the article states:
A portrait of the son (watercolours on ivory) by the Italian painter Gustavo Lazzarini, was acquired in 1972 by the Preservation Society of Newport County in the United States of America (Ref. RI010048)
As said above if someone with access to this Society can get hold of a copy, that would also be something! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Procureur2014 (talk • contribs) 10:02, 12 October 2016 (UTC)
