Correction of rotary drilling achievement
editAnthony Lucas was not the first to apply rotary drilling in oil wells, this technique was around since the early 19th century and first patents on it were granted already in 1845. However, Lucas is credited for inventing modern rotary drilling by combining existing techniques of rotary drilling with other existing techniques of a steam-driven rig and the use of weighted mud instead of water.--Helgex (talk) 12:51, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
