Marie-Léonie Vanhoutte
editSomeday I will learn how to do edits because I would very much like to add something like the following paragraph. I’m surprised his wife doesn’t have her own entry, so I’m flabbergasted that she isn’t even mentioned here.
His book La Guerre des Femmes was based on the recollections of his wife, Marie-Léonie Vanhoutte, who had been an operative in the Alice Network (a spy ring headed by Louise de Bettignies). Vanhoutte’s code name was Charlotte Lameron, and she was captured in 1915 and imprisoned in Germany until the war ended. For sources, you could use the book itself, or for something online http://www.remembrancetrails-northernfrance.com/history/the-department-of-nord-and-the-coal-basin-under-german-occupation/resistance-to-the-first-german-occupation.html or http://p9.storage.canalblog.com/97/68/1046708/111823468.pdf Minicarmen (talk) 03:47, 6 October 2018 (UTC)
Year of Death
editWhat is the source for Redier's date of death being 27 July 1954? The wikipedia article about him in French gives 27 July 1955 as his date of death and, unlike this article, provides a source, which appears to be a copy of his birth certificate with a scribble in the margin that says he died on 27 July 1955. The last digit of the year is quite hard to read, but it certainly looks more like a 5 than a 4. Marsoult (talk) 18:16, 27 July 2023 (UTC)
