Name
editThis person appears to have changed the form of name she uses - the UK Parliament website previously showed her as Anum Qaisar-Javed (including the July 14th archived version), but her current page shows Anum Qaisar. Her own website also uses the shorter name. I have moved the page and updated the content accordingly.
The infobox states that A Q-J is her birth name. Do we know that, or are we just assuming it?
Has she changed her name? Has she changed her marital status? Her website no longer says that she lives with her husband and pet parrot Joey, but that may be a privacy decision.
Reliably sourced info is needed. PamD 16:16, 21 November 2021 (UTC)
- Looking on social media (FB and Twitter) the change to shorter name occurred at end of October 2021. No reasons stated on official web nor social media in public access.
Relevance of former name
editAs she stood for election under the name Anum Qaisar-Javed, and that is the name used in media coverage of the election, it is appropriate to show that name in this article so that a reader can confirm that both names refer to the same person. There is no argument in Wikipedia policy for suppressing a former name by which a person was known, except in very special circumstances which do not apply here. PamD 12:40, 1 December 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks PamD I was not suggesting suppressing name used in election or media - but was just explaining there was no source I could find to explain the name change though approx date seems to be recent (nor personal details such as birth name, married status - and the parrot may be considered mere trivia). Thanks I will be mindful of this. I only tend to revert vandalism or factual errors Kaybeesquared (talk) 08:52, 2 December 2021 (UTC)
too much left-wing wokism in the article
editalleged racist incidents in the school bus no one can prove or disprove are hardly relevant and match encyclopedic standards. 2003:DA:C721:8C00:858A:EB5:739A:2DF9 (talk) 21:51, 4 May 2024 (UTC)
