Accuracy : parallel updating
edit87.202.115.100 (talk) 12:09, 28 December 2007 (UTC)this article (28/12/07) mentions that there can only be 5 living Saoi at any time. The article on Saoi sets the number at 7.
a) which is right ? b) isn't there/ shouldn't there be a cross-editing facility or prompt ? I (speculate) imagine that the latest valid number is 7, but only one of the two linked articles was updated.
- According to the Aosdana website, it's seven - I think it was originally five but has been updated. Cross-editing ... that would be good...

According to the Aosdana website, the list had been missing Edna O'Brien. I've added it to this list, but it looks like that information is still missing from her page, etc. Detritus2 (talk) 14:29, 19 October 2017 (UTC)
pronunciation
editIs the pronunciation supposed to be English or Irish? kwami (talk) 11:05, 10 May 2009 (UTC)
Beckett was an Anglo Irish Protestant. His name would be pronounced like any English person's name.
Samuel Beckett
editWhy did Aosdana make Samuel Beckett a saoi 15 years after his Nobel prize? Was he not good enough, or too independent for them?86.44.213.96 (talk) 08:22, 25 June 2010 (UTC)
Neither. Aosdana didn't exist until 1981. He was made Saoi 3 years after it was created.
Pronunc.
editIt would be great if somebody could insert the English approx or IPA for the pronunciation of the word 'Cnuas'. K-naus? Cee-norse? Thanks. --LeedsKing (talk) 22:17, 12 August 2010 (UTC)
