editThis needs to be expanded to include usage samples, reports on reliability, programmers, external links, sample program output and more.
- Definately not usage samples, and I'm not too keen on including sample program output, but a discussion on reliability would be a great addition. Also, ApacheBench is not specifically for the benchmarking of the Apache HTTP server -- it can bench any web server. I'll have a go at changing that now. Lambyuk 22:11, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
Why does ApacheBench not meet the general notability guidelines? I don't see any argumentation for the banner. Because the program is not delivered stand-alone by Apache? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.149.143.194 (talk) 15:10, 21 April 2010 (UTC)
I agree, I don't see why this doesn't meet the notability guidelines. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 17.209.4.116 (talk) 19:54, 16 February 2011 (UTC)
I am the original author of ApacheBench, and I take issue with the comment that it was "Originally designed to test the Apache HTTP Server". It was originally written by me for my company (Zeus Technology) back in 1996. It was then licensed freely to the Apache community several years later. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.26.5.250 (talk) 20:27, 19 May 2011 (UTC)
Better example
editI believe that many people may copy-paste the example in the actual. It is not healthy to the wikipedia servers. I would suggest to change the example to address example.com or something like this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.229.73.50 (talk) 08:31, 16 October 2017 (UTC)
- Feel free to make that happen, but only if you have another domain's approval to do so. What are the examples that ApacheBench use? Walter Görlitz (talk) 18:16, 17 October 2017 (UTC)
