editOCD has most of a column on this guy, and says nothing about him being "careless". What's the source for that claim? Stan 05:33, 19 Jul 2004 (UTC)
- Hi Stan, it comes from the Penguin Dictionary of Ancient History, details here. It doesn't go into further detail however, and given that it also describes Apollonius' pedantic nature, I too was a bit confused. By all means nix it if you like, I only did a quick article after wanting to do something on the two Herodians. adamsan 08:03, 19 Jul 2004 (UTC)
Wikiquote
editThe article says "Wikiquote has a collection of quotations related to: Apollonius Dyscolus" but when you click it, there is nothing at Wikiquote. Anybody know why that link is there? -- MithrasPriest (talk) 14:58, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
- Looks like the one edit by some anon (see [1]), so no way to know for sure what they were thinking. Sometimes people pre-emptively cross-link projects with the idea that if the other project ever got content, then the link would magically start being useful. (The idea would make more sense if the cross-link changed color, no way to tell beforehand whether it's worth clicking on.) Stan (talk) 15:59, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
