cleanup - description of removal

edit

The article mentions the removal of the statue on 2-June, and I added removal of the pedestal on 20 or 21-Jun. I have a photo of the new "National Pothole Monument" with flowers laid down around the opening. Apparently the base or entire pedestal was cut from a single piece of granite with the below-ground foundation. The pedestal was removed by cutting thorough the granite foundation.. Given that the foundation is above grade, this was probably not with the idea of re-installing the statue later. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Unitacx (talkcontribs) 02:25, 23 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

What happened to the statue?

edit

The article does not state what happened to the statue after its removal. Was is melted or is it still conserved in a museum. Regardless of its meaning, the statue is a piece of art which people should be able to see.Afil (talk) 02:07, 10 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
