Vimy Ridge Day

I can't find any reference within the two linked articles which state anything even closely resembling that this is an official annual observance or a holiday. I'm not going to get into an edit war about it. It's unsupported in my book. I often do stop and add info with citations to reliable sources to help support entries onto the DOY pages but I cannot and will not do it for all the unsupported entries. I'm certainly not going to allow someone to "force" me to have to do it, just to avoid violating 3RR, simply because THEY don't care about Wiki policy. I do try to adhere to the spirit of WP:DOY, and not to the precise letter of it. I can't see any point in removing anything further from the DOY pages that's unsupported at this point unless someone explains to me that I'm in the wrong. I wanted to mention an event, occuring around the globe on Thursday, April 9, 2009. As a brief notation, Jehovah's Witnesses will, holding the annual commemoration of Christ death, according the ancient Biblical calendar Nisan/abib 14, corresponding to this (solar) year on the georgian calendar, as April 9, 2009. - Thank-you! --Anaccuratesource (talk) 03:25, 7 April 2009 (UTC)

Day of the Finnish Language

I'd like to suggest that the link for this holiday/observance be changed from Mikael Agricola#Agricola as a rector and an ordinarius to Elias Lönnrot. Writing about Agricola's death on 9 April 1557, the Agricola article notes:

This day is also Elias Lönnrot's birthday and it is celebrated in Finland as the day of the Finnish language.

Although the Lönnrot article does not mention the holiday, it discusses his enormous contributions to the Finnish language.

Does anyone know more about the holiday? Was it established primarily in honor of Agricola's death or Lönnrot's birth? --H.M. Talbot (talk) 20:22, 8 April 2014 (UTC)

Stop deleting Eric Harris

I have been putting Eric Harris on this list several times now and people keep deleting him from the list. He is a famous and notable person, much more notable than all the other people in the list. He should be on here. Deal with it. ILoveEricHarris (talk) 09:14, 14 March 2017 (UTC)

Eric Harris
